ABOUT DR. GRATCH

Alon Gratch is a New York-based clinical psychologist, organizational consultant, and author. He received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Columbia University. He has been on the clinical faculty of Columbia University’s Department of Clinical Psychology and Columbia Presbyterian Hospital’s College of Physicians and Surgeons. In his clinical psychology practice, Dr. Gratch works with individuals, couples and families. He has extensive experience working with mood and anxiety disorders, sexual problems, adult ADHD, and relationship issues. Over the years, he has also worked with many LGBTQ individuals and couples. As an organizational consultant, Dr. Gratch specializes in leadership development, executive coaching and negotiations.  He has worked with small and mid-sized family businesses as well as large organizations such as Pepsi-Cola, Nabisco, Estee Lauder, McCann Erickson, Chase Manhattan Bank, Nikko Hotels International, the NFL, and the United Nations.

Dr. Gratch is the author of three books, including the international bestseller If Men Could Talk, which has been translated to more than 25 languages, If Love Could Think, which was serialized in Cosmopolitan Magazine, and The Israeli Mind: How The Israeli National Character Shapes Our World. He has written for both professional and popular publications including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and USA Today. Dr. Gratch has presented his work in various professional and academic settings, including Harvard’s and Columbia’s medical schools. He has also run workshops and lectured in corporate settings and community centers. His media experience includes interviews on such topics as gender, work/life balance, leadership, and relationships.
